Certificate in Cold Chain Management Training Course - 17 to 20 Aug 2010 (7th Batch)

we are pleased to send you our update on the Certificate in Cold Chain Management Course for Milk & Dairy Products and Chilled Pork that will be scheduled from 17 to 20 August 2010 (Modules 1 to 9).  In collaboration with Singapore Cold Chain Centre together with Food Innovation & Resource CentreSingapore Polytechnic, this training course is funded by WDA and endorsed by AVA and SPRING Singapore, and will be conducted at Singapore Polytechnic premises.

Highlight of Training Program
In view of the recent food poisoning cases, we have increased the HACCP Section from 3 hours to 6 hours; with 3 hours on Principles of HACCP and 3 hours on Implementation & Case Studies of HACCP.  We have combined some of the sections which are common in Cold Chain Management in respect to Milk & Dairy and Chilled Pork.  The course is now more stream line and the scope has been widened.
 
The course fee is S$660.00 + 7% GST (that is, S$706.20 per trainee, inclusive of 7% GST).
 
The fee includes course materials plus copies of Singapore Standard CP95: 2002 (Cold Chain Management of Milk & Dairy Products) and Singapore Standard SS552: 2009 (Cold Chain Management of Chilled Pork).

This course, Certificate in Cold Chain Management, had been approved for funding under Skills Development Fund (SDF) and Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP), for eligible trainees. Total classroom hours is 22 hours. Please access to

For eligible trainees:
- SDF assistance (with effect from 1 April 2007):
(A) S$242.00 for workers aged 40 & above, and holding 'A' level qualifications & below;
(B) S$154.00 for workers other than in (A).
 
- Absentee Payroll under SRP funding (with effect from 1 April 2008):
i) 90% of hourly basic salary (capped at S$4.50 per trainee-hour, i.e. capped at total of S$99.00) for workers aged 40 & above, and holding 'A' level qualifications & below;
ii) 80% of hourly basic salary (capped at S$4.00 per trainee-hour, i.e. capped at total of S$88.00) for workers other than in (i).
 
Please note there will be a Test, right after each module.
 
Trainees must achieve at least 75% attendance (Modules 1 to  8) and sit for all prescribed tests (Modules 1 to 8) required by the course so as to be eligible for the SDF assistance and SRP funding. Date of Field Visit for Module 9 will be advised in due course.

GS1 Singapore, Secretariat of Efficient Consumer Response Council of Singapore (ECR Singapore) brings you the ECR Singapore CEO Forum 2010. This year, the Forum will touch on topics such as new ways of working together, improving customer services with retailers, enhancing the framework of collaboration in the supply chain, and enabling supply chain visibility using EPCIS. This Forum will provide vital information to senior decision makers on the state of ECR activities in Singapore and future direction of the FMCG industries.
