Helping your company develop export strength to penetrate and export to oversea markets

International Enterprise (IE) Singapore and Singapore Manufacturers’ Federation (SMa) is organizing a seminar for GS1 members on the Exporter Development Programme (EDP). This Programme developed by IE Singapore is to help small and medium sized enterprises develop their export strength. IE Singapore supports 70% of costs to equip your company with a sustained and systematic approach in exporting.   

To date, about 60 companies have participated in the EDP to build up and enhance their export capabilities. Whether you are planning to start exporting or if you are already an experienced exporter, you are welcome to come hear how the EDP can help your company.

Certificate in Cold Chain Management of Vegetables Training Course (MARCH 2010)

We are pleased to update you that the 2nd and 3rd batch of Certificate in Cold Chain Management Course for Vegetables will be scheduled during March 2010 (Modules 1 to 8).  In collaboration with Singapore Cold Chain Centre together with Food Innovation & Resource CentreSingapore Polytechnic, this training course is funded by WDA and endorsed by AVA and SPRING Singapore, and will be conducted at Singapore Polytechnic. Please note the course dates as scheduled below in respectively languages:-
 
1) 02 March 2010 to 05 March 2010 (English)
2) 09 March 2010 to 12 March 2010 (Mandarin)

This course, Certificate in Cold Chain Management, had been approved for funding under Skills Development Fund (SDF) and Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP), for eligible trainees. Total classroom hours is 22 hours.
 
For eligible trainees:
 
~ SDF assistance ~
(A) S$242.00 for workers aged 40 & above, and holding 'A' level qualifications & below;
(B) S$154.00 for workers other than in (A).
 
~ Absentee Payroll under SRP funding ~
i) 90% of hourly basic salary (capped at S$4.50 per trainee-hour, i.e. capped at total of S$99.00) for workers aged 40 & above, and holding 'A' level qualifications & below;
ii) 80% of hourly basic salary (capped at S$4.00 per trainee-hour, i.e. capped at total of S$88.00) for workers other than in (i).
 
Please note there will be a Test, right after each module.  Trainees must achieve at least 75% attendance and sit for all prescribed tests required by the course so as to be eligible for the SDF assistance and SRP funding.
 
COURSE FEES$660.00 + 7% GST (that is, S$706.20 per trainee, inclusive of 7% GST)
~ The course fee includes course materials plus a copy of Technical Reference TR24 (Technical Reference: Cold Chain Management of Vegetables).
 
NOTE : Companies that are participating in the Pilot Trial of Cold Chain Management for Vegetables TR 24, kindly refer according to SPRING's funding.
