Global Location Number Registered User

 

All e-business transactions in Singapore for the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) need to have Global Location Number (GLN) for party identification. A GLN is a 13-digit non-significant reference number used in electronic communications to identify organisations and their physical locations.

For distributors who are getting their goods from their suppliers already printed with EAN Bar Code symbols, they still need a GLN for the purpose of company identification to conduct e-business transaction between their companies and the retail chains.

Fees Structure

  • For a company with annual turnover below S$200,000 the GLN fees are:-

    • One time registration and administration fee : S$100.00 + 7% GST
    GLN annual subscription fee for one GLN : S$100.00 + 7% GST

  • For a company with annual turnover above S$200,001 the GLN fees are:-

    • One time registration and administration fee : S$300.00 + 7% GST
    GLN annual subscription fee for one GLN : S$300.00 + 7% GST

  • For a company which is already a registered user of GS1 Singapore, the GLN is issued to the company free-of-charge.

  • For a company which wants to apply as a registered user with GS1 Singapore, the fees are:-

    • One time registration and administration fee : S$750.00 + 7% GST
    GS1 Singapore Council annual subscription fee : S$750.00 + 7% GST

  • All companies applying for GS1 GLN must complete the GIRO application form for the payment of future Global Location Number annual subscription fees.
    • A copy of the interbank GIRO application form is attached for your action. Please return the duly completed GIRO form together with the GS1 Registered User Application Form.

  • All companies applying for the GS1 GLN must confirm to have read the terms and conditions of the GS1 Singapore Grant License Agreement and agree to abide by it.

  • The entrance fee and the entire year's subscription fee paid upon joining are non-refundable and non-transferable.
