Training and Education

To help members of GS1 Singapore to fully understand and implement GS1 standards, seminars and training courses are conducted to train and educate our members at a minimal charge.

To further inculcate the knowledge of the GS1 standards to members, GS1 Singapore has embarked on the LEARN training portal, an internet global training system initiated by GS1, that offers virtual courses (e-learning and classroom) in combination with professional certification linked to competency profiles.

LEARN's curriculum has been broadened into the supply and demand chain management area. The following are the various e-learning courses offered currently.

The GS1 Singapore Office distributes the "Barcode Certificate" Course and EPCglobal/RFID related certificate course. The eLearning modules composing the " Barcode Certificate" and EPCglobal/RFID related course are as follows:-

"Barcode Certificate" Course - 7 modules

• Introduction to GS1 (No test)
• GS1 BarCode
• GS1 BarCode Quality
• GS1 Application Identifiers and ID Keys
• GS1 Barcode Applications - Trade Items
• GS1 Barcode Applications - Logistic Units
• GTIN Allocation for FMCG

The cost of the barcode certificate course is S$300.00 + 7% GST

The barcode certificate will be sent to the student upon completion of all the modules tests - (No test for - Introduction to GS1), with a passing score of 100%.

"EPCglobal/RFID related certificate" Course - 3 modules

• EPC Basics
• EPC Advanced Business
• EPC Advanced Technical

The cost of the EPCglobal/RFID related certificate course is S$680.00 + 7% GST

The EPCglobal/RFID related certificate will be sent to the student upon completion of all the modules tests with a passing score of 100%.

Before accessing the online e-learning courses, you will need to register for a username and password as the courses are password-protected and require registration.

You may register yourself for a login id and password to access LEARN but the e-learning courses will only be activated upon receipt of payment.
